Air Duct Cleaning & Sealing

Air Duct Cleaning

Air Duct Cleaning Overview

The indoor air we breathe is only as clean as the air duct system that circulates it throughout our offices and facilities. Complications of Indoor Air Systems are usually caused by inadequate ventilation cleaning or a source of pollution, which can have an adverse long-term effect on your health. Air passing through dirty ventilation systems spreads contaminants to the building’s occupants, specifically affecting allergy sufferers and those with weakened or compromised immune systems. Simply changing the system’s filters is not enough. Adding in cleaning the HVAC system may eliminate the problem. Clear Air Enviro-Services helps create healthy, clear air for everyone.

What Air Duct Cleaning Process Looks Like

Our team brings all equipment needed. Most buildings have multiple units to meet operational requirements, so we are able to clean one unit at a time allowing normal operations in the building. In more critical environments, such as a hospital, we often work out a schedule to clean overnight and in areas where patients are not residing.

When Air Duct Cleaning Is Needed

NADCA recommends air duct cleaning every 1-5 years depending on the activities that occur in your facility. Office buildings typically need air duct cleanings on a less frequent basis than a manufacturing facility. How do you know it’s time for another cleaning? When you can see dirt and dust in your air duct systems or when you notice a difference in the air quality in the building. We offer annual HVAC Cleaning programs that include duct cleaning.

Air Duct Sealing

Air Duct Sealing Overview

Indoor Air system complications can arise with flawed internal ductwork. Leaks in air duct systems can lead to lower pressure readings and inefficient delivery of air to a controlled space. We use a cost-effective, all-purpose sprayable sealant that is applied on metal ducts, fiberglass duct board, duct fabric, and flex duct. Sealing flawed duct work creates more efficient systems and a better working environment for your employees.

What The Air Duct Sealing Process Looks Like

Our professionals always run a pressure test before and after sealing to ensure the seal is providing the right coverage for the unit to operate at full capacity again. Our team is able to create a seal for the unit depending on the placement and accessibility. If we discover additional areas that need to be cleaned or improved while on the job, we will always consult the client prior to adding any work to the scope of the project. Many times, commercial buildings will have multiple units to meet operational requirements meaning that your team can continue normal operations while the process is completed.

When Air Duct Sealing Service Is Needed

A building’s air ducts need to be sealed when you begin to notice that there is dirt or other debris stuck to the ductwork that shouldn’t be there. For instance, on a longer run of ducting, where one piece of ducting meets another you may see a large amount of buildup. This is due to a gap or leak in the duct. Sealing will also prevent any bacterial growth from spreading throughout the ventilation system, helping your facility occupants breathe clean, clear air.
